Yuma police want to warn you about a phone scam that's making its rounds.
YPD says a person receives a phone call from someone claiming to be their relative. They claim their in some trouble and ask for some money to be wired to them. They then give the victim the transfer number to send the money. Once the victim gives them the money it is gone and so is the scammer.
YPD urges anyone who receives such a call to ask as many questions as possible to confirm it's a real family member calling.
