27-year-old Antonio Salazar Jr. made his second appearance in front of a judge since his arrest last Friday.
Salazar is facing one felony count of arson of an occupied structure.
Salazar's arson charge stems from an incident last Friday night, when around eight in the evening the Yuma fire and police departments responded to at least 12 fires set in the South end of Yuma.
During a search of the area a YPD officer spotted Salazar nearby holding evidence that he was involved in the fires.
Wednesday afternoon Salazar told the judge he wishes to represent himself, and repeatedly attempted to defy the judge by speaking out of turn.
It all ended with the 27-year-old having to be forcibly removed from the courtroom.
Salazar's bond has been reduced to $100,000.
He is scheduled to be back in court for a preliminary hearing next week.
