It's never easy to say goodbye to someone who's passed away , especially when that someone has done so much for Yuma County.
Former Superior Court Judge Tom Cole passed away Thursday morning.
News 11 took a look back on his life and everything he's done for the community.
He had a legal career for 44 years. Cole started as an associate attorney, then ran his own law firm, and eventually was appointed to be a judge at Yuma Court in 1991.
He served for 16 years until 2007 when retired.
Judge Cole is especially remembered for creating the Drug Court in 1998 and completing the Yuma Court Justice Center in 2005.
