YUMA, Ariz. - Eighty-nine percent of the children that are brought into the Hope Assessment Center (HAC) by law enforcement do not re-offend in the later years.
The HAC, located at the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center, is a voluntary-based program that guides troubled youth away from the detention center before it's too late.
Law enforcement, parents, and schools can bring children here to get the help they need rather than booking them into detention. The center also provides services such as counseling and therapy.
The center follows the Kids at Hope' philosophy which said, ”All children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS!"
If you or someone you know needs help call (928) 314-1900 EXT. 1525 or visit the center located at 2440 West 28th Street.
