YUMA, Ariz. - The Regional Center for Border Health hosted their second annual forum in efforts to make healthcare easier in the region.
The event welcomed leaders in local health and educators from Northern Arizona University to discuss the health inequities families face. They also discussed future projects to create jobs and educational programs.
The event is sponsored by the Arizona Biomedical Research Center which host workshops and community events throughout Yuma County to bring better healthcare to our community.
"I think we had such a great response from the community too. The attendance today is just wonderful," said RCBH Director Amanda Aguirre. "After this meeting, we're going to come back and lay out a plan of action that all of us can collectively express the health disparity in Yuma County."
