YC's dream season comes to an end.

Shamrocks suffer stunning playoff upset.

YUMA, Ariz. - Yuma Catholic girls basketball secured it's 3rd 20-plus win season in the past 4 years and also earned a perfect section record on the way to clinching the 3rd overall seed in the AIA 3A Playoffs.

But, the dream season would come to a screeching halt on Friday night as the Shamrocks suffered a 64-47 upset at the site of Gila Ridge High School on Friday night.

Even though YC held it's own most of the night, the 1st quarter turned out to be the most crucial part of the game as the Rocks got off to a slow start; falling into an 18-8 deficit early on.

Multiple early turnovers and lack of board presence proved to be factors in the outcome of the game.

The Shamrocks finished the season with an overall record of 23-7.
