Suspect involved in donut scam arrested

YUMA, Ariz. - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office said the suspect involved in the donut scam has been arrested Wednesday.

Authorities confirmed 21-year-old Allison Denise, of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center after reports of a donut scam happening in the community.

Authorities are asking for the community's help after a woman on roller skates was caught on camera allegedly scamming people with donut orders.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) has received several reports involving a tall, white woman. She is described to be between 18 and 22 years of age and weighs approximately 80 pounds. The woman is believed to be going to people's homes wearing roller skates selling pre-orders for Krispy Kreme donuts for a Ron Watson Middle School fundraiser involving a sibling.

According to YCSO, the woman takes the order, the money, and states she will return at a later date with the donuts.

Authorities have contacted Ron Watson Middle School who said there is no fundraiser taking place at their school.
