YUMA, Ariz. - The woman that was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Traci Lynn Vanaken, appeared in court Thursday.
According to court documents, Vanaken faces four charges that include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct, criminal damage, and attempted second-degree murder.
In court, the prosecutor said she is a threat to herself, the case is unique, and needs further evaluation.
Her bond is set at $500,000 and her next court appearance is Monday, April 15 at 1 p.m.
Vanaken was arrested after reports of shots fired during a domestic disturbance in one Yuma neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
What started as an argument led to a gun being pulled and a single shot fired, according to Lieutenant Legros, Yuma Police Department.
Yuma police responded to the scene near 37th Lane and Victoria Way and said no one was injured. They added the bullet only hit a cabinet.
