YUMA, Ariz. - Nearly 200 migrants from seven countries were arrested this week, according to Yuma Sector Border Patrol.
The agency said the arrests were made from Tuesday afternoon to 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.
People arrived in 23 different groups and included 18 minors traveling without their parents. The vast majority arrested, 149, came from Guatemala.
Yuma Sector Border Patrol said they have seen a steady increase in the number of non-Mexican migrants arriving and surrendering to agents at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Most arriving migrants in the past have hailed from Mexico.
